Plotting Planets, Part 1 ~ 13 April 2016

On April 25 as the Sun views the planets, Jupiter aligns with the point where Uranus ventures closest to the Sun (perihelion). No doubt the evidence of this heliocentric transit takes place as politicians in the heat of election cycles “evolve” their positions to something better, though their opponents toss accusations of flip-flopping and inconsistency. In truth, it is a time for all constituents on Earth to evolve positions, platforms and purposes.

The next weeks offer a well-greased time to review belief systems and discard doctrines that no longer serve ones purposes. Be wrong about concepts held that fail to further your greatest plans and objectives. Summon the heliocentric transits of Mars to add mojo to all efforts. Simultaneous with Jupiter to the perihelion of Uranus, Mars aligns with the heliocentric south node of Mercury. Then, on the 28th, Mars aligns with his own south node. Mars strives to invigorate the Jupiter-Uranus passage with a reminder that old thoughts support outdated action. Installing new, progressive ideas immediately leads to innovation of fresh, life-advancing actions. Think of this as a personal operating system upgrade. It’s coming... and it is in play now, and is supported by the first of two rather amazing patterns.

On April 23, Venus passes between Uranus and Eris, imitating what Mercury did earlier this month during several edgy days. To boot, at this transit’s apex, the Moon in Scorpio quincunxes Venus. Before delving into the delineation, remember this pattern for June 21. When the solstice rolls around, Ceres assumes the ecliptical alignment now held by Venus. She, too, will respond to a quincunx from Scorpio. In Ceres’ case, though, it will be an action adjustment minded push from Mars. Presently, the persuasion demands adjustments in emotional patterning.

A quincunx operates by creating the perspective that a goal or situation stands directly in front of a pursuer. However, as steps forward are taken, the objective drifts to one side or the other. In order to reach the original target, somewhere along the way, an adjustment must be made. Typically, with a stated plan in place such an adjustment occurs only after some angst before resignation to the reality that shifting must happen. Usually one wants the object to approach them and tweak its position, instead of modifying direction and momentum to reach the result. Following a mental/emotional tweak or two, course correction occurs and the goal is achieved with greater fluidity and ease, and often more expediently than initially imagined.

Since the adjustment stimulus in the Venus to Uranus and Eris alignment originates from a lunar transit lasting but hours, one would do well to remain immediately responsive to the signals that change in pursuit must occur. Since this is lunar, sometimes no event appears; it’s just an uncomfortable emotional stirring that signals the shift. Usually, no mentor appears to render guidance; instincts and belly barometers serve as guideposts.

In screenwriting, the method for defining a character arc - the hero’s journey - instructs the writer to push the protagonist in the direction of what that character wants and seeks with unmitigated passion. Ultimately, the story succeeds and offers film watchers’ satisfaction when the protagonist achieves victory by realizing what is needed - instead of what is wanted. Then, the character pivots and goes for substantial fulfillment. Funny, the Hollywood ending hinges upon what one really requires for satisfaction; instead of what one desires.

The quincunx coming at us from the upcoming Scorpio Moon advocates what one needs. It fosters the spirit and meaningful goals. The alignment of Venus wants what it wants, and nestled in between Uranus and Eris stubbornly persists in seeking others to rally to ones cause, even at the risk of exclusion and ending up on the wrong side of the velvet ropes.

The key is to shift emotionally such that satisfaction is perceived as occurring when one achieves the greater goal that supports good, not only for the individual, but for all the individual encounters. The key requires realizing that an outcome differing from that one initially pursued, while it does not look like the stated goal, likely works out better than previous expectations.

To pivot emotionally in such a way, work to realize that your expectations of perfection and your picture of nirvana may be biased by not knowing all that perfection and nirvana entail. Remaining receptive to perfecting shifts and necessary adjustments - mental, emotional or action-based - without digging in the heels, insisting on outcomes of want instead of need shall please Uranus.

Reviewing desires and deleting those based upon a compulsion for status, success, social positioning and material gain, and applying a mental metamorphous such that the spirit yearns only for what it needs, shall appeal to Eris and makes her feel as if she is an included component in consciousness.

In this transiting pattern of a personal planet to Eris and Uranus in Aries while sustaining the adjustment inspiration from a shove from something in Scorpio, the emphasis is personal. Come June, marking its arrival with the changing of the season, the transit pattern including the above works in a more worldly way. Now by resolving need versus want and achieving internal clarity, the next planet package stimulates greater, active involvement in direct pursuit of objectives, which offer great personal gain and impact in the greater plan for the planet.

Strong transits demand strong responses. Plot the planets well. Here’s to great good fortune.
